The Canada Employment Insurance Financing Board (CEIFB) was created in 2008 to set the country’s employment insurance (EI) rates and manage a newly created account in the event that any surplus accrues. With a busy second year under its belt—in fact, the organization’s first full year of operation—Ascribe was invited back to write the CEIFB’s annual report, working closely with a longtime graphic design partner to establish an appropriate structure and approach to the content. Presenting the year’s events in a pared-down, just-the-facts manner allowed Ascribe to lay bare the CEIFB’s achievements and mirror the organization’s over-arching goal to be clear and transparent in all its public communication.
