WHERE SCIENCE AND BUSINESS CONNECT: IMRP
Since 1976, scientists, policymakers and radiation processing operators have come together every two years to discuss the state of the global radiation processing industry, identify emerging opportunities and tackle pressing challenges. The 2011 edition of the International Meeting on Radiation Processing (IMRP), hosted by the International Irradiation Association (iiA), took place at Montreal’s Hotel Bonaventure in early June. Having written two opening keynote speeches in advance, an event coverage team of five Ascribe writers was on hand to audit the proceedings — identifying key trends/hot topics to include in the organizers’ closing remarks on Day 3. Proceeding with speechwriting live on the ground, Ascribe delivered one 10- and one 20-minute closing address along with an accompanying PowerPoint presentation, presented to the record audience of 450 international delegates — many of whom said this was the best IMRP ever.
